The Church of God in Sturgis, KY
Welcome friends, we are glad you have joined us to share the good news that Jesus is alive and will be returning one day.
I want to take a minute to pray for everyone reading this. Everyday is a struggle no matter if you are a new or long time Christian. Remember you are never alone as a child of God.
Lord, I pray protection over this person or family that has taken the time to look at this page. They need strength, guidance, courage, and wisdom as they continue their day. Let them be a shining light and help in our journey to win more souls in Jesus name, Amen.
Sunday Morning Service

What a mighty God we serve!
Sunday morning during Sunday school the adult class had a need to pray for a few in the hospital as well as some in attendance. Once they began to pray the younger classes could hear, some stopped to pray in their classroom. However, we just could not go back to our lessons.
After that everyone joined the adult class to continue praying for anyone in need. At some point members began to pray with each of our youth individually as they seen that need.
Just by asking for prayer for one person during Sunday school, lead to some of our youth being saved. It is amazing to feel the whole church stand and pray with you. To surround the youth to give them guidance and encouragement.
The Holy Spirit touched so many Sunday morning. As some still prayed, some began to sing, some clapped and shouted praises of joy as our youth wept at the alter. Before we knew it more people had come in for our service time. We did not let up. We prayed until after 12 sometime. The whole church continued to pray with the youth and any others that was still in need. We did not want to let up until everyone was satisfied. Before we finally dismisssed, some testified to feeling better, some spoke on wanting to learn more about salvation/ sanctification/ baptism of Holy Ghost, and one hand shot up real fast and said ” I thank the Lord for being saved today.”
Christmas Parade in Sturgis at 5pm on December 6th.
